Problem deleting a set with a follow the leader

I'm getting quite frustrated with what appears to be a bug.

Every time that I write a set that includes a follow the leader, whenever I try to create a new set in it's place, or any time that I try to undo the follow the leader path in any way, I can't. It seems that the path is locked in forever.

I used to be able to work around this by deleting everything from that set, saving, closing EnVision, reopening the file, and then starting over. But now that doesn't even seem to work.

Why does deleting a set not delete the follow the leader?!?

Hi AdrianJM,

This doesn't sound right; deleting a set should definitely delete the associated paths along with it. Have you tried using the Revert tool with the "step through" option enabled? It should change any paths to straight-line paths. You should also be able to look in Path Mode and change the path of a selected performer to "line".

If you have a drill file in this state I would love to have a look at it to see if it will help narrow down the issue. You can send it to contact@box5software.com.

Have a great day!

Also note that the paths are associated with the preceding set. For example if you have a Follow the Leader from Set 5 to Set 6 and then you delete Set 6 then you will still have a Follow the Leader from Set 5 to the new Set 6 (previous Set 7). But if you delete Set 5 then the Follow the Leader should be deleted and you will have the same type of path as Set 4. The default path type is a straight line.

Hi AdrianJM,

Just following up on this post, are you still having this issue? I cannot reproduce this issue so having a drill that has this error already would really help my investigations.

Have a great day!
