Getting started

Post by Jeremy G »

Hello all!

I am pretty new at writing drill and I am finding that I tend to do some of the same tricks over and over again. I was curious if anyone had any experience/advice/words of wisdom regarding how you worked on being a better drill writer. Thank you on advance for anything you are willing to share!

One of the things that helped me get better was doing as much writing as I could in the off season. When I was on tour I would talk to my Visual Instructors and pick there brains. When I marched Sr Corps I did the same. When I taught Jr Corps and was on visual I would site there and watch the rewrite process and gained valuable knowledge. I got great insight from these geniuses! :D
