MacOS Catalina

Post by benjaminzamostny »

Any plans on pushing an update for the new MacOS? I'm trying to download your demo as I'm looking to switch programs but it won't open. It says to contact the company.....

Hi benjaminzamostny,

Yes this is correct. Unfortunately EnVision in its current state won't work on MacOS Catalina. We do have plans to update it to work with Catalina but because of some technical issues it is not a small task. We will do our best but we can't guarantee that the update will be available before Catalina is widely available (out of Beta).

In the meantime if you require EnVision then you will have to stay on Mojave (10.14) or lower, or use a Virtual Machine (VM), such as Virtual Box, running an older version.

Have a great day!

Hi Jeremy,

This is a priority for us and we have made significant progress on it. We are hopeful that can be finished in the next couple of months (Nov or Dec 2019), but there are still a lot of unknowns.

Hello Everyone,

EnVision v1.8.12 for Mac has just been released which allows it to be run on MacOS 10.15 Catalina. Please see this post for additional information: http://www.envision.box5software.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7&p=15019#p15019

Thank you for your patience and support. This is a big change in EnVision so please let us know if there is any weird behaviour that could have been a result of this.

Have a great day!

Greetings!

Is anyone experiencing a light blue bar that prevents you from reading the fonts in the menus? I thought it was just affecting the Wizard screen but now I See it affects the entire application and I cannot see any of the text from any of the menus because the text is white and it is blending into the whitish coloring of the background.

**** EDIT*****

Hey Everyone ! I found out the issue! When my mac was running in Dark Mode (it automatically switched all the font colors to white). Changing it back to light mode defaulted all of the font colors back to black and solved this issue. Envision will have to run on light mode in order to read the menus.

Have a great day!
