Video rendering

Post by William »

Being able to share your creations is a high priority for the EnVision team. To that end we are going to include a option to render high-quality video directly from the 3D viewing area to a file. This will allow you to enable all the highest quality settings and still have the animation rendered smoothly.

We have been holding this feature back because we have been having a little bit of trouble getting the sound added to the resulting video file. We have decided, however, that rendering high-quality video is important enough on its own to release without audio support.

We will of course still be looking for a solution to this problem and hope to have video with audio sometime in the future.

Hello everyone,

Starting in EnVision version 1.1.04 video rendering is available for anyone to test out. It is even available in the demo version! Save your amazing drill as any of several types of video file to share with the world!

At this time adding audio to the video is not available but it is something that we are working on. In the mean time there are several video and audio editors out there that will allow you to add this music yourself. Some powerful free ones are Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)and Virtual Dub (http://www.virtualdub.org/), check them out.
