Hi eortiz98,

I suspect you are running a version of OSX that is 10.6 or older. Recently EnVision went through some big changes that resulted in it not working on versions Mac OSX that were 10.6 or older. It was decided that the changes and updates were good enough to warrant sending out the new version for users of more modern operating systems while a fix was investigated for getting it running on older systems again. So, in the mean time you can download the last version that worked on the older OS, v1.5.09, see this post for more information viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7&start=20#p1782.

The good news is that a fix has been identified and the next released version will be compatible with the older systems again! This version is expected to be released within a month.

I hope that answered your question, have a great day!

Maybe you can elaborate on the problem you are having then?

You can download the software from the download page of box5software.com: http://www.box5software.com/demo.html.

Are you having trouble downloading the file? Or trouble installing it? Or trouble when you start it up?

Hopefully we can get you running EnVision as soon as possible.

This is what my computer says:

"EnVision_Mac_Setup_v1-1.5.14.pkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Okay, that is a pretty common problem on OSX 10.8. Have a look at this post for a good description on how to get around it:
http://osxdaily.com/2012/07/27/app-cant ... developer/

The short form is that you need to find the package in the filesystem (probably in your download folder), right click it and select open. This will warn you that this is from an unidentified developer but will still give you the option to open. Click open and you're good to go.

Hi! William

Sorry for the very long wait. But I have good news, I was barely able to install it today. I hope to play around with it during my Thanksgiving Break. I just wish there was other way to purchase this software other then $449. As a college student its hard for me to buy it. More specially when I haven't been able to get hire with any High School as there Drill Writer :-(.

Hi erotiz98,

Glad to hear you managed to get up and running. As for the money situation, I think you should get yourself hired as marching staff for a band and convince the band leader that the entire marching staff needs copies of EnVision. Then make sure that all the band's drill is in EnVision (by writing it there yourself if need be) and be ready at a moments notice to make changes. Then when the drill writer/caption head is sick and needs to miss practice, you are ready to go with the entire drill and changes. Change all the drill to something better and make sure the band leader knows it was you. Convince the band leader to let you write the drill next year.

Easy.

Step 1: Write Drill
Step 2:
Step 3: Profit
